Casita Armonia is part of the beautiful property lake-front property of Sharyanka right on the Bay of Paxanax, which is part of the Mayan village of Santa Cruz, Lake Atitlan.
It is a simple, but comfortable wooden-built structure in the large gardens that climb up the hill behind the main lake-front rental home of Villa Verdad. The back gardens are shared by 2 other small studio casitas (Poder and Claridad). All four properties share a sauna, meditation pagoda, and private dock.
The casita is well-equipped and perfect as a Get Away for one person or a couple on a budget. The main room has simple cooking facilities and an equipped kitchen, along with a seating area, a double bed, and a separate bathroom with an electric shower. There is also a small porch with wonderful view out across the lake and to the volcanoes, which make you feel as you are living in the tree tops.
The one potential drawback is that the kitchen sink is outside the house, but the garden oasis, tranquility and close proximity to the lake more than make up for this!
On Lake Atitlan Santa Cruz is one of the most popular village to live and rent in. It is only accessible by boat (10-20 mins from Panajachel – Pana), but the closest village to Pana by boat. Pana is the commercial and transport hub of Lake Atitlan. Here is where you find: banks, ATMs, grocery stores, local market, pharmacies, cafes, internet cafes, bars, restaurants etc.
